As part of our E-award Schemes ICAAE now has QCA approval for our full iTQ Awards Scheme in Integrated ICT through our awarding body status ICAA(Examinations). They are a series of Level One and Level Two qualifications that use ICT to enhance teaching and learning across the curriculum.

ICAAE offers through this specification a series of vocationally related units, which lead to qualifications at Level One and Level Two of the NQF. ICAAE qualifications are designed to cover the requirements for ICT at Level One and Level Two of the National Qualification Framework and are delivered through single or cross-curricular materials in other curriculum areas.

To provide a route for the development of an individual’s skills in ICT to support them in achieving Level One or Level Two of the National Qualifications Framework, approximately equivalent to Levels 4 - 8 of the National Curriculum.

The iTQ award structure has been designed to recognise that ICT capability is not age related, but contexts of delivery have to be structured in a way that motivates the candidate.

ICAAE is working closely with partners to develop tasks that exploit the ICT skills of the student.

The ICAAE iTQ e-awards are 100% coursework. This is initially marked by the teacher and moderated by trained assessors.

How much will the ICAAE iTQ e-award cost?

£5.00 per unit (Inc. unit certificates) + £5.00 ‘Cash – in’ (Inc. qualification certificate)
