The ICAAE iTQ e-awards are 100% coursework. This is initially marked by the teacher and moderated by trained assessors. The scheme requires the gathering of different types of evidence to demonstrate that the student has used the skills needed for each unit. Each candidate is required to create a portfolio of evidence, which demonstrates achievement against the learning outcomes associated with each unit. Portfolio evidence can consist of:
Evidence may be drawn from actual or simulated situations as appropriate. The awarding body will accept alternative methods, which are equally valid, reliable and maintain the integrity of assessment and the standards required for this qualification. Other acceptable methods can include:
The tasks are performed in non ICT subjects and managed by subject teachers. Trained assessors support the students in obtaining their skills and assess that they have acquired and used these skills from the evidence collected via the tasks. The evidence for these tasks can come from any subject area. |
